In order to link a Combi Creator entry with a widget, the rule chain of that widget must include the Product Combi/Category Combi rule. For more information, see Rule settings for recommendations.

Product Combi
What is this feature about?
With the Product Combi you can set which fixed product recommendations should be displayed for a specific product (context product) and thus offer e.g. matching accessories, product series or X-Sells. When creating an entry, you first define a context product and select the widgets in which the product recommendations should appear. Then you can edit the entry and define which products should be recommended for it.
The fixed product recommendations are displayed first in the widget. All other recommendations in the widget are determined by the Recommendation Engine.
Example:
You want the 'shoe polish light brown' and the 'suede care' should always to be recommended with the context product 'suede shoe light brown'
How do I manage the Product Combi in the Control Desk?
You can find the feature Product Combi in the Control Desk under Data Management > Combi Creator. After you have created a Product Combi, the entry appears in the overview.
There you can activate/deactivate, configure, edit or delete an entry.

Category Combi
What is this feature about?
With the Category Combis you can define which categories should be recommended for a specific context category, e.g. X-Sells, Alternatives or matching accessories. When creating an entry, you define a context category and determine in which widgets the recommendations should be displayed. When editing the entry, you define the recommendation categories.
For the context category, only the products of the specified recommendation categories appear in the selected widgets. The order of recommendations is automatically determined by the Recommendation Engine.
Example:
For the context category 'Snowboards' only products from the categories 'Snowboard > Snowboard Bindings' and 'Snowboard > Snowboard Boots' should be recommended.
How do I manage the Category Combi in the Control Desk?
You can find the feature Category Combi in the Control Desk under Data Management > Combi Creator. After you have created a Category Combi, the entry appears in the overview.

How to define the result set of the Product Combi or Category Combi
Inside the Control Desk, in the editor of Combi Creator, you can specify the recommendations that should appear in the widget.
The left side shows the product catalog with its fields and attributes prepared by epoq. On the right side you can see the result set, based on the selected attributes of the left side.
- Click on the icon
to add individual products, categories or attributes as the recommendations.
- Select any number of attributes to define the result set.
- Click Save.
If several attributes are selected within one field, the OR link applies, e.g.: Category "Outdoor" + Category "Ski" > Outdoor and Ski products are output.
If attributes from different fields are selected, the AND operation applies, e.g.: Brand "Puma" + Category "T-Shirt" > Only T-shirts of the brand Puma will be output.
This applies to all attributes, except for products, which are added by Product ID. These are "OR"-linked with each other, e.g.: Brand "Puma" + Category "T-Shirt" + ProductID "302" > All T-shirts of the brand Puma and a special Puma shoe will be output.

How to recommend matching products
In an online fashion shop, you want the widget on the product detail page of a certain bikini to always recommend the same products. These are other bikini models with the same pattern.
To do this, create a new Product Combi entry and select the bikini top as the context
product. Then link the context product to the corresponding Inspire widget. In the editor, define the matching bikinis as fixed product recommendations.
How to recommend matching categories
You want to show matching products from the categories gloves and beanies for all products in the category scarves in the widget on the product detail page.
To do this, create a new Category Combi entry and define the scarves category as the context category. Then link the entry to the corresponding Inspire widgets. In the editor, select the recommendation categories.
